SURGERY, SEMARANG – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) gave birth to 61 graduates with cum laude predicate at the 162nd Graduation of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) which was held online and offline in a series of events held Wednesday-Thursday (19-20/May/2021). The graduates who have commendable predicate (cum laude) come from the Undergraduate Study Program (S1), Professional Medical Education (PPD), Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS), Master Program and Doctoral Program.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP, Prof. Dr. dr. Dwi Pudjonarko, M. Kes., Sp.S. (K), revealed that 180 people from FK were included in the list of graduates at the 162nd Graduation. At the second stage of the graduation ceremony, Pudjonarko congratulated those who had completed their studies. “This is your time to put into practice all the competencies you have acquired in college. The nation and state are waiting for your service,” said Prof Pudjonarko.

Referring to the study program, out of 180 people who graduated, 10 people from the Doctoral program (S3), 27 people from the Masters (S2) program, 45 people from PPDS, 30 PPD people, and 68 people from the S1 (Bachelor) program. As for the 61 who won the cum laude predicate, one person came from the doctoral program, from the master program there were 21 people, 11 specialists, 5 professionals and 23 undergraduates.

UNDIP Vice Chancellor 1 Academic and Student Affairs report, Prof. Budi Setiyono PhD, stated that the graduates with the highest GPA (Gradual Achievement Index) at the UNDIP Faculty of Medicine in this graduation period for the Doctoral Program (S3) were achieved by Finta Isti Kundarti with a GPA of 3.76; For the Masters Program in Biomedical Sciences (S2), the highest GPA was achieved by Krisna Muhammad with a score of 3.76; Maelia Unayah, Imran Pashar, Siti Nafisah, Muhammad Ridlo, and Adisty Rose Artistin got the highest scores for Masters of Nursing (S2) with a GPA of 3.95. Then the highest score in the Master of Nutrition Science Program (S2) was achieved by Firdananda Fikri and Widia Pangestika with a GPA of 3.91.

Meanwhile, for the Surgery Specialist Program, Sibin Chandra achieved a GPA of 3.76; Dermatology & Venereology Specialist was achieved by Hayra Diah Avianggi with a GPA of 3.91; Forensic Medicine Specialist & Medicolegal Studies achieved by Marlion Anthonius Elim with a GPA of 3.77. Then for the Clinical Pathology Specialist, Nalurita NG won with a GPA of 3.83; Fredy Danan Putra Sanjaya, specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, has a GPA of 3.81; Rahmatika achieved Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist with a GPA of 3.77.

As for the Medical Professional Education Program, the highest score was achieved by Vania Avissa Salsabila with a GPA of 3.89; The Bachelor of Medicine (S1) program with the highest score was achieved by Winda Putri Sunjata with a GPA of 3.55; Dentistry (S1) was achieved by Amana Fitria Chusaeni with a GPA of 3.78; Nursing (S1) won by Isna Widya Febyastuti with a GPA of 3.73; and the Nutrition Program (S1) achieved by Karina Khairunnisa with a GPA of 3.76.

In the Second Stage of the 162nd Graduation, in addition to the Faculty of Medicine, graduations were also held for graduates from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB); Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Faculty of Public Health (FKM), and UNDIP Vocational School. FIB UNDIP this time released 7 Masters Program (S2) graduates, 58 Bachelor (S1) programs and 4 Diploma (D3) programs. Meanwhile, graduates from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (ISIP) include 2 Doctoral (S3) programs, 2 Masters (S2) programs, 95 Bachelor (S1) programs and 2 Diploma (D3) programs. From the Faculty of Public Health, the graduates include 4 Masters Program (S2), and 36 Bachelor’s Programs (S1). Meanwhile, there are 3 Vocational Schools for Applied Undergraduate Programs and 113 (D3) Diploma Programs.

The implementation of the 162nd Graduation is based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Diponegoro University Number 490/UN7.P/HK/2021 dated 28 April 2021 concerning the Release of Graduates of Doctoral, Masters, Specialist I, Profession, Bachelor, Applied and Diploma Programs Graduation at the 162nd Year 2021 Diponegoro University. In the second phase of the graduation procession, there were also foreign national graduates, namely Ferouz Chtibi Mannit from France who took part in the Masters in Urban and Regional Planning program, and Joaquina Tavares from Timor Leste who participated in the Masters in History program.

Chairman of the Academic Senate Chair of the Academic Senate, Prof. Ir. Edy Rianto, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, in his introduction said that UNDIP opens wide opportunities to accept graduates and graduates who want to continue their studies as long as they meet the requirements. “For the graduates who want to enter the community, we pray that all of you will soon get the job you aspire to, and good luck in all fields,” he said.
